Missing Some Prior-Year Documents?
Provide the records you currently have and identify any important documents you believe are missing.
The $475 starting fee assumes the information necessary to prepare the return can be determined from reasonably complete and organized records.
Document retrieval, income reconstruction, bookkeeping, business-record cleanup or other significant reconstruction work is not automatically included.
If additional work is required, we'll identify the additional scope and applicable fee before proceeding with that work.
Additional Complexity May Change the Preparation Fee
The $475 starting price applies to one standard prior-year Form 1040.
Schedule C business activity, rental property, K-1 income, multiple states, significant investment activity, digital assets, complex capital gains, incomplete records or other complexity may require additional pricing.
Additional tax years require separate preparation services and fees.
Any additional scope and fee will be identified before that additional work proceeds.
Existing Tax Deadlines and Collection Matters Still Apply
Purchasing this service, completing the intake or providing documents does not extend or suspend any federal or state filing, payment, response or collection deadline.
Preparing a prior-year return also does not automatically stop collection activity, eliminate penalties or interest, resolve an outstanding tax balance or resolve other unfiled tax years.
If you have an active IRS or state notice, levy, garnishment, collection action or deadline, notify Tax Control Group™ promptly.
Protect Your Tax Information
Your tax return and supporting documents may contain Social Security numbers, financial information and other sensitive taxpayer data.
Provide these documents only through the designated secure client portal. Do not send them through ordinary email.
What Happens After You Provide Your Documents?

We'll review the information provided and determine whether additional documents or information are needed.
2 — RETURN PREPARATION

When preparation is complete, you'll review the return and receive a DocuSign for the required signatures before filing.
