Complete My Prior-Year Tax IntakePrior-Year Form 1040 Preparation Starts at $475
The $475 starting fee applies to one standard prior-year Form 1040 within the established scope of this service.
Schedule C business activity, rental property, K-1 income, multiple states, significant investment activity, digital assets, complex capital gains, incomplete records or other complexity may require additional pricing.
Additional tax years and business returns require separate preparation services and fees.
Any additional scope and fee will be identified before that additional work proceeds.
What Should I Have Ready?
Depending on your return, you may need:
- Prior-year W-2s
- Forms 1099
- Social Security or retirement income statements
- Prior-year federal and state tax return, if available
- Estimated-tax payment records
- Mortgage-interest and property-tax information
- Charitable-contribution records
- Education-related tax documents
- Health coverage or marketplace tax documents, when applicable
- Investment tax documents
- State tax documents
- Dependent information
- Other documents affecting the return
You do not need to provide these documents on this page.
Missing Prior-Year Records?
Prior-year returns sometimes involve missing or incomplete records.
The $475 starting fee assumes the information necessary to prepare the return can be determined from reasonably complete and organized records provided by the taxpayer.
Document retrieval, income reconstruction, bookkeeping, business-record cleanup or other significant reconstruction work is not automatically included.
If additional work is required, we'll identify the scope and applicable fee before proceeding with that additional work.
Keep Your Tax and Business Information Secure
Do not send tax returns, Social Security numbers, EINs, bank information or other sensitive taxpayer or business documents through ordinary email or Kajabi forms.
Sensitive information should only be provided through the designated secure client process.
Filing a Prior-Year Return Is One Part of Getting Current
This service covers preparation of one prior-year Form 1040 within the agreed scope.
Filing a prior-year return does not automatically eliminate penalties or interest, resolve an existing tax balance, stop collection activity, or resolve other unfiled tax years.
This service does not automatically include amended returns, tax-account investigation, notice response, penalty-abatement work, separate tax planning, or IRS/state representation.
Purchasing this service also does not extend or suspend any applicable filing, payment, response or collection deadline.
