WHAT DO YOU NEED HELP WITH?
Start With the Filing Situation You Have
CURRENT YEAR
I Need My Current Tax Return Prepared
You have the current filing year's information and need professional preparation of your individual or business return.
PAST YEARS
I Have Prior-Year Returns That Still Need to Be Filed
One or more prior filing years remain outstanding and you need to determine what is missing and what needs to be prepared first.
CORRECTION
I Think a Filed Return May Need to Be Corrected
Something may have been omitted, reported incorrectly, or changed after filing and you want to determine whether an amended return should be considered.
CLEAR PRICING STARTS WITH CLEAR SCOPE
Tax Preparation Fees Depend on the Return You Actually Need.
A simple individual return and a business return with multiple schedules, entities, states or incomplete records are not the same amount of work.
That's why Tax Control Group does not try to force every taxpayer into one flat preparation fee before the filing situation is understood.
After the return type, filing years, business activity and record condition are reviewed, you can receive the applicable preparation scope and fee before work begins.
A Structured Preparation Process
01IDENTIFY

04REVIEW
Review the completed return and applicable next steps before filing.
START WITH THE FILING NEED
Let's Determine What Needs to Be Prepared.
Start with a preparation review so the filing years, return type, record condition and scope can be identified before you are quoted the final preparation fee.
Start My Tax Preparation ReviewWhat Tax Preparation Does—and Does Not Include
Tax preparation is a defined filing engagement. It does not automatically include bookkeeping reconstruction, IRS representation, tax planning, entity restructuring, financial-statement services, payroll cleanup or other work outside the agreed preparation scope.
If the records are incomplete or another issue needs to be addressed before preparation can be completed, the appropriate next service can be identified separately.
This route may be right for you if:
- You need a current-year return prepared.
- You have unfiled prior years.
- You need a business return prepared.
- You believe an amended return may be needed.
- You want to bring required filings current.
This route is probably not the right starting point if:
- Your main issue is a tax notice with a deadline.
- You primarily need bookkeeping cleanup first.
- Your return is already filed and your primary concern is future tax planning.
- You only want general tax education.
